Carol Ann Gross

Carol Ann Gross, 78, received her crown of glory on June 10, 2026. Carol was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert L. Gross, with whom she shared 55 wonderful years of marriage; her parents, Edward and Jean Loomis; and her sister, Joann. She is survived by and was the adored mother of Jennifer (Bob) and the beloved Grammy of Angelina, Lydia, and Lila, who brought immense joy to her life. Carol is also survived by her twin sister, Jean (the late Eugene); her nephew, Edward (Shari), and their children; her sister-in-law, Tina (the late Robert); her lifelong friends, whom she cherished as family; and her godchildren, all of whom held a special place in her heart. Carol will be remembered for her warm spirit, creativity, and the genuine care she showed to others. Known to many as Aunt Carol, Mrs. Gross, and Rosie she once treasured trips to FL to see family, CT to see friends, cheering on the Mets, and Thursday night dinners with friends, where laughter and fellowship were always abundant. She enjoyed scrapbooking and card making, creating lasting memories and heartfelt gifts that reflected her thoughtfulness and love. Carol devoted 30 years of ministry to Trinity Lutheran Church and School before retirement and continued volunteering after. Over the years, she faithfully served in the cafeteria, classroom mom, youth group, Stephen Ministry, prayer lines, choir volunteer, Altar Guild, and, most memorably, her time in the printing office. She loved her time at Trinity and deeply valued the people whose lives she touched and who touched hers in return. Above all, Carol loved her Lord and Savior. Her kindness, faith, strength, and gentle presence touched the lives of many and will be remembered by all who knew and loved her. Though her family grieves her loss, they find comfort in knowing that Carol is no longer in any pain and has been reunited with her beloved Robert and now rests in eternal peace. Friends & Family can visit at Roslyn Heights Funeral Home on Monday, June 15 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM. A celebration of Carol's life will be held on Tuesday, June 16 at 10:00 at Trinity Lutheran Church 40 W. Nicholai St. in Hicksville. NY. Interment will follow immediately after church at Pinelawn Memorial Park Farmingdale, NY. Carol's memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those blessed to know her.
