Joseph J. Faust Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

A CELEBRATION OF LIFE JOSEPH JEFFERSON FAUST SUNRISE OCTOBER 5, 1954 SUNSET FEBRUARY 22, 2025 Joseph was born in Denmark, SC, to Henry Faust and Ruby Mae Geter, both who were predeceased, before Joseph became ill with his hard-fought battle with Dementia and Alzheimer's. He was a quiet southern boy with five brothers and three sisters. Two of his brothers, Charles the oldest and Willie James and one of his sisters Nora Lee, who was also the oldest girl had preceded him in death several years ago. "JoeJoe" as he was affectionately known by his family was a very deep silent thinker who had a very strong work ethic of conduct that he carried with him throughout his life. After he graduated from Long Island High School in 1972, he considered joining the military due to his love of travel. But after much consideration, he realized it wasn't for him even though all his brothers were military men. As the years went on Joseph found a new passion. And in 1975 he met Bette Boatwright, and went on to have two children, a beautiful little girl Kiana, who he affectionately called "Ma" and his first son, Joseph Jr. (JoeJoe) always put his family first. He was a very dedicated father who taught his children to share the same love for the art of music, carpentry and cars that they still carry on with today. His love for traveling soon became more of a reality as he amicably parted with Bette and traveled to many different parts of the world. One of his travels in 1990 brought him to Guyana, where his adventures introduced him to Inez and they moved back to the states to Jamaica, NY. They had two children together, boys, Joseph Henry and David Faust. Here with the boys, he was ever the strong kind, loving supportive father as always. He was his children's biggest cheerleader in any endeavor they chose. Family was always first with Joseph, no matter what his children chose to be involved in. He pushed his eldest children to reach for the stars and they always wanted to do more. His oldest son and daughter would always want to do 101 things as they were growing up and Joseph, true to form would always be found right there on the sidelines, in the stands cheering them on wherever his children needed him in their times of need. Joseph leaves behind his loving daughter Kiana Shauntee Faust-Young who remained by his side during his struggle with the disease and his three sons, Joseph Jefferson Faust Jr, Joseph Henry Faust and David Faust, who held him up as he did for them, always saying we got you dad! His stepdaughters and grandchildren from his stepdaughter: Chantel, Jamaal, Leah and Amber who will miss him dearly. JoeJoe also leaves his two remaining sisters, Rebecca F Perez (William) Shermarian M Bias three brothers, John Henry Faust, Earl McClary (Sharon) and Glenn McClary, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and countless "extra" children that he treated as his own. Your spirit will be sorely missed Joe, Joseph, JoeJoe, Dad! To My Father I Love You More than words could ever tell. A Piece of my heart will Forever be Missing Your Love was unconditional, and your Hugs could cure All. There will not be a day that goes by that I will not miss you. I'm not sure how to go through this life without you, but you taught me to never give up and to keep fighting and that is exactly what I will do. I Love you with all my Heart Always and Forever!
