Kevin Michael Coleman

Kevin Michael Coleman (76) of Scarsdale, NY and Tequesta, FL died unexpectedly on October 1, 2023 at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn, NY. The son of William Coleman and Mary O’Leary Coleman, he was born on April 17, 1947 in Paterson, NJ. He is survived by two brothers, Kenneth and Daniel, and was predeceased by his parents and his brother, William. Kevin is also survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Donna Molina Coleman, whom he married on June 2, 1990 in New Rochelle, NY. Also surviving him are his nephews and nieces, William Coleman (Christina), Kenneth Coleman (Beronica), Mary Ellen Coleman, Sean (Rose) Coleman, Colleen Hammond (Matt), many grandnieces and grandnephews, and his “adopted” son, Gary Keating (Valerie). Kevin graduated from Red Bank High School in Red Bank, NJ and Walsh College in Canton, OH where he received a bachelor of science degree in accounting. He was a certified public accountant and had a long and distinguished career as a partner at PwC. A member of The Wykagyl Country Club (New Rochelle, NY) and Jupiter Hills Club (Tequesta, FL), Kevin served on Wykagyl’s Board of Governors and was a member of its Executive Committee. For many years, and most recently as its president, he was a board member of the Jupiter Hills Home Owners Association. Kevin and Donna shared their love of golf with many friends and traveled to and played many iconic golf courses all over the world. Each week when he was in Florida, he organized a group of his wonderful Jupiter Hills’ friends and fellow golfers who referred to him as “The Commissioner.” After every round, he was well known for his witty and humorous recaps of the day. His interests in history and architecture helped to enhance the experiences he and Donna had as they travelled throughout the world enjoying the culture, food, and wine of each country they visited. Music was another passion and Kevin was involved with the youth music group, Drum Corp International, based in Indianapolis. He was often seen walking around his neighborhoods and stopping at his favorite local restaurants with his faithful and much-loved canine companions, Rocco and Jackson. Kevin will be remembered for his keen sense of humor, his appealing charm, and his kind heart. A friend to many, he will be greatly missed by all who had the good fortune to know him. A funeral mass will take place at St. Christopher Church in Hobe Sound, FL (12001 SE Federal Hwy) at 11:00 a.m, on Friday, November 3, 2023 followed by a celebration of his life at Jupiter Hills Club.
