Gerald A. Bunting
March 28, 2022
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerald A. Bunting of Roslyn Heights, New York, who passed away on March 28, 2022. He was a Korean War veteran and worked and retired from CBS after 34 years where he was a purchasing agent. He oversaw purchasing equipment for political conventions, and major sporting events such as the Daytona 500 and Superbowls. He collected old British cars (Jaguars, MGs, Morgans, etc.) which involved endless time, money and energy. He is survived by his wife Laura and his three children Gerald, Sean, Courtney, his granddaughter Madison, daughter-in-law Cindy, and son-in-law Dave Pohle. He was a good man, and a good father. To the very end he maintained his wry Irish sense of humor. His love of old British cars, railroads and history will never be forgotten, nor his enduring love of the water.
